The 2022 Land Rover Discovery faces significant reliability concerns due to recalls involving critical systems like seat belts and engine oil lubrication. With the majority of failures noted below 20,000 miles, current owners should remain vigilant about these issues.

Standard Safety Record
The 2022 Discovery maintains a standard safety record for LAND ROVER, with 2 recalls documented.

πWhy This Matters
Recalls for the 2022 Land Rover Discovery highlight serious defects in both the seat belt pretensioners and the engine's oil lubrication system. If the seat belts fail to restrain occupants in an accident, it poses a severe risk to passenger safety. The oil leak issue can lead to catastrophic engine damage or failure, placing undue strain on the engine and potentially leaving drivers stranded. For a luxury SUV expected to deliver not just comfort but also safety, these recalls are red flags that should not be overlooked.

Summary: Overall, the reliability trend for the 2022 Discovery is underwhelming considering it is a newer model. Given this vehicle's luxury positioning, one would expect a cleaner track record rather than a couple of serious recalls so early in its life cycle.
