STEERING

Power steering light came on and I took my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee (3.6L) to Cape Coral Chrysler Jeep Ram and they said it would be $3929.89 to fix for me. Replace Steering Rack and Pinion. This is a SAFELY ISSUE and I feel I should have to pay that much to fix a 2023!!!

There is no heat in truck. It has something to do with the 2 way control valve. When driving you cannot defrost the front window when it fogs up and sometime freezes. Very dangerous to drive since it is winter here in NJ. Brought up to dealer months ago. Trying to deal with it but hard to drive in cold. Said it wasn't under warranty but it started before warranty was up. I see this as a safety hazard and there should be a recall on these.

Electrical⚠️ High

I received Safety Recall 68C for my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe stating that the high-voltage battery may become damaged during normal operation and could lead to a vehicle fire. FCA instructs owners not to recharge the vehicle and states that no remedy is currently available. In addition to the recall, I am experiencing a major safety issue inside the vehicle. The rear driver-side passenger seat (directly above the high-voltage battery) becomes extremely hot during normal driving, hot enough that my family members cannot sit there comfortably. The heat is abnormal and appears to be coming from the battery area. I have small children who ride in this vehicle, and I no longer feel it is safe to transport them. FCA has no fix for the known battery defect, and the combination of internal heat from the seat and the fire-risk warning significantly impairs the safety and usability of the vehicle. FCA advises owners to avoid charging, but this makes the vehicle unusable for its intended purpose as a plug-in hybrid. I am requesting NHTSA involvement because this appears to be a serious battery overheating and potential fire hazard affecting the passenger cabin. Please investigate. I need guidance, as the manufacturer cannot repair the defect, and I am concerned for the safety of my family. If there’s no cure to this problem, please ask FCA to purchase the vehicle back from me. It’s a three year lease and I have about six months left on it.
