Recalls, Specs & Safety Report

Expert Verdict
âš ī¸Elevated Concerns

The 2022 Freightliner 108SD presents notable reliability concerns, particularly regarding its steering and visibility components. Such issues, along with Technical Service Bulletins for engine and electrical systems, indicate that while the vehicle is built for heavy-duty applications, it may require more careful attention than expected from a modern truck.

Key Factor:Significant steering and visibility flaws

📋Why This Matters

The steering system's vulnerabilities in the 2022 Freightliner 108SD are particularly troubling; failures here can lead to loss of control, posing serious safety risks. The visibility flaws amplify this concern, as faulty windshield wipers could affect driver awareness during adverse weather conditions. Given that this model is intended for demanding commercial use, these defects could not only endanger drivers but also tarnish Freightliner's reputation for durability and engineering excellence.
