Recalls, Specs & Safety Report

Expert Verdict
⚠️Elevated Concerns

The 2024 Freightliner 108SD displays notable reliability concerns, particularly with its forward collision avoidance system and suspension. Early failures in critical components mean owners should proceed with caution.

Key Factor:Critical component vulnerabilities

πŸ“‹Why This Matters

The recalls associated with the Freightliner 108SD highlight significant safety issues that can directly affect vehicle performance and driver confidence. The malfunctioning auto-braking system raises the stakes in crash avoidance situations, while loose axle clamp fasteners potentially compromise vehicle control, leading to catastrophic outcomes. For a brand like Freightliner, known for its heavy-duty trucks designed to endure rigorous conditions, such defects not only jeopardize safety but also challenge the company's reputation for quality engineering and reliability.
