Remedy
Dealers will inspect and tighten the rear seat belt anchor bolts. Additionally, dealers will apply warning labels to the seat belt attachment points to indicate the bolt size and torque value required for any future seat belt repair. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 14, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. SEAT BELTS:PRETENSIONER
▼
Summary
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023 Rogue vehicles. The driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners may have been incorrectly manufactured, which can cause the seat belts to not properly restrain occupants. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies," and 210 "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Consequence
Improperly restrained occupants have an increased risk of injury during a crash.

▼
Summary
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Rogue, 2019-2020 Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50, and 2022 Infiniti QX55 vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L or 4-cylinder 2.0L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. The engine bearings may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine failure.
Consequence
Engine failure increases the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.
Remedy
Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed August 25, 2025. A second letter is expected to be mailed December 4, 2025. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that after exiting the vehicle and walking away with the keys, the doors of the vehicle automatically locked as designed; however, the rear doors of the vehicle failed to unlock, preventing the contact's sister, who was occupying the rear seat, from exiting the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that upon returning to the vehicle, the contact became aware of the issue, and the contact also noticed that the front driver's side door failed to unlock as intended. The contact stated that the failure required the contact to enter the vehicle through the front passenger's side door to get the groceries out of the way for her sister to exit the vehicle through the front passenger's side door. The contact had briefly lost the keys and was able to unlock the doors after finding the keys. The contact stated that the rear doors' failure to unlock did not occur due to the child-lock system. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start on another occasion. A mobile technician from a service contractor was able to jumpstart the vehicle. The technician also recommended that the battery be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

The rear window exploded out of no where on my 2023 Nissan Rogue. It was parked, I was outside when this happened. No vehicles or other people around, window just exploded. Glass and weatherstripping were blown across the parking lot. Nissan consumer affairs state they will do an investigation and they may or may not help. Once this happened I see many other Nissan owners experience this same thing! Extended warranty will not cover this... As I sit here 3 days before Christmas, travel plans ruined, and the uncertainty of a thousand dollar fix hanging over my head. This is definitely a manufacturing defect, and this should be covered at no cost! A recall also needs to be issued! I'm just grateful I was not driving down the road when this happened, as I see other Nissan owners had this happen to them.

I am submitting a complaint regarding my 2 year-old vehicle due to a recurring/mechanical issue that is impacting its safety and reliability. While I understand the vehicle’s age, this problem appears to be beyond normal wear and tear and warrants review. In addition the condition has resulted in ongoing problems that I believe require further evaluation and resolution.

ENGINE
My engine has a recall. When i would start my car the engine would stop half way in son I went to the repair shop twice. One time they tell me, there's an active recall. The next time they tell me there isn't. Its a back and forth and then they tell me they are not going to replace it until nissan tells them its okay. They told me to file a claim with nissan which I did as per their instructions and the representative has be giving me no information for 2 weeks. Stating she will "keep trying and call me back" now they are telling me the engine doesnt need to be replaced but since October they were saying it does.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Ever since I purchased my 2023 Nissan Rogue in December 2023, on long treks, the Intelligent Cruise Control will just randomly shut off while driving down the interstate going 70+ mph on a clear day with no bad weather while other cars are around. Meaning, the car will suddenly slow down without braking in traffic and say that the forward driving aids are disabled, potentially causing an accident. In March 2025 I finally decided I'd had enough of this unsafe situation and asked the dealership to fix it, and they tried but failed. I asked again recently in November, and the dealership tried but failed to resolve the issue, and it persists. I can drive the vehicle but need to avoid using all of the safety features I have paid for in my expensive vehicle or risk my life to use them.
