2023 LAND ROVER Discovery Sport

Recalls, Specs & Safety Report

Expert Verdict
⚠️Elevated Concerns

The 2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport shows a concerning reliability trend, especially with two recalls impacting crucial safety features like seat belts and back over prevention. Owners need to stay vigilant given the average failure mileage of just 9,500 miles.

Key Factor:Seat belt and software issues

πŸ“‹Why This Matters

These defects pose serious risks; malfunctioning seat belt pretensioners can lead to ineffective occupant restraint during crashes, significantly increasing injury chances. Additionally, the back over prevention software issue affects rear visibility, which is critical for avoiding accidents while reversing. For a premium brand like Land Rover, these recalls are notably troubling as they undermine the expected standards of safety and engineering excellence in this segment.
