2023 LAMBORGHINI URUS

Recalls, Specs & Safety Report

Expert Verdict
⚠️Elevated Concerns

The 2023 Lamborghini Urus exhibits a notably concerning recall regarding its hood latch mechanism, which poses significant safety risks while driving. With only one recorded complaint and no major TSBs, the overall reliability still raises flags due to the potential for hood detachment during operation.

Key Factor:Hood latch failure risk

📋Why This Matters

The integrity of essential components like latches and locks is paramount for vehicle safety, particularly for families with children in the back seat. A defective hood latch can lead to catastrophic consequences, such as an unlatched hood opening while driving, which jeopardizes not just the occupants but also other road users. Such defects magnify concerns when considering how precious cargo—like children—are affected by unpredictable events on the road.

Summary: While Lamborghini has established a reputation for high engineering standards, this single recall indicates a lapse that could compromise passenger safety. This situation suggests that although the brand is generally perceived as reliable, this particular model's risk profile has been negatively impacted by a critical component failure.

STRUCTURE

Had air bubbles. Showed it to the dealership in May 2023. They refused to fix it and blamed it on the PPF. Fast forward March 2024, they’re like it’s a recall now and we’re going to take care of you. Bobs random body and paint shop that does Teslas repainted my new hood that Lambo approved. Guess what, I’m in LA and there’s 1,000 other better shops but looks like it’s Lambo that chose the cheapest shop. A month after the new hood and guess what, ppf is peeling and the hoods bubbled again. This time WORSE! The ppf they chose definitely wasn’t the same nor close to the one I paid $25k to ppf the car. I emailed Nick Cardoni, Rene Suelztner, Andrea Baldi and Stephan Winkelmann. No answer out of embarrassment. They offered me $7k to keep my mouth shut. I got a lawyer and am forwarding this over to a lawyer to get a class action. You can’t charge us 1/4 million dollars for a car and give us this treatment. Now the hood not only can’t hold paint but it also pops open at 80 mph
