Vehicle Information 2020 Jaguar E-PACE VIN: [XXX] Approx. mileage: 84,000 Component Affected: Powertrain / Cooling System / Engine Complaint Description: My 2020 Jaguar E-PACE began showing coolant-related warnings and mechanical issues around 60,000 miles. Despite professional servicing, the vehicle experienced a catastrophic failure at 84,000 miles. The vehicle is now completely inoperable and parked dead in my garage. Jaguar Land Rover provided contradictory instructions: they advised I visit a JLR retailer, but later questioned me for adding oil at a certified shop. Most concerning is that Ms. Jeane Meyer, Executive Liaison at JLR, closed the case without even offering an inspection or diagnostic. She told me I was “on my own” with the issue, showing complete disregard for customer safety or support. This is a major mechanical failure in a vehicle under 5 years old, and I believe it indicates a manufacturer defect. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate. I own a 2020 Jaguar E-PACE (VIN: [XXXX]). At around 84,000 miles, the vehicle experienced a complete transmission failure that requires over $20,000 in repairs. This failure occurred despite multiple prior visits to the dealership for coolant-related warnings and repairs. The vehicle is less than 5 years old. I believe this may be a manufacturing defect affecting the powertrain or cooling system. The failure poses serious safety concerns, especially considering the sudden loss of power on the road. I request an investigation into this issue. •VIN: [XXX] •Mileage: ~84,000 •Dealer/City: Jaguar North Miami – 2300 NE 151st St, North Miami, FL 33181 Key history (summary): •Coolant warnings logged five times: [XXX] [XXX] (linked to water-pump leak/repair); [XXX]; [XXX]; [XXX]. •Documented repair: Water-pump replacement on 06/17/2022. *Please escalate this matter*: I cannot justify absorbing a $20,000 repair for what is clearly a manufacturer defect on a five-year-old Jaguar, and I don’t want this issue to end my relationship with the brand. A prompt intervention would go a long way in restoring my trust. Thank you for your time and leadership. I’m available anytime at the number below. The engine coolant light is on consistently. I had to start taking pictures. I was told by a service advisor that a recall was just done on the E-Pace. Yet I have never received any documentation at all. This issue has been going on since 2020. The car cabin has filled with fumes, several times while driving. I had to start taking pictures., because AutoNation Jagur/Land Rover Southbay declined to give me documentation for all of the times I came in for a TOPOFF. I could not download all of the repair orders, and manufacturer correspondence. Thank you for looking into this matter.
