ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL

Summary

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2023-2025 G90 and GV60 vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."

Consequence

An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy

The instrument panel display software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2025. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 027G.

Summary

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Genesis G90 vehicles. The Highway Drive Assist (HDA) corner radar may falsely detect another vehicle, which can result in sudden, unintended braking while driving.

Consequence

Sudden, unintended braking increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Owners are advised not to use the Highway Drive Assist feature until the remedy has been performed. Dealers will replace the front bumper beam, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 30, 2026. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 030G. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on December 3, 2025.

Since purchased as a new vehicle from dealer, the TPMS ( Tire Pressure Monitoring System ) menu has been absent from my dash as an option to choose so that I can monitor the tire pressures. The menu widget that contains the TPMS also contains other options that are suppose to be available, but also do not show and are unavailable to the driver.
