The 2021 Genesis G90 demonstrates notable reliability despite a single recall concerning the engine and cooling systems. These issues primarily arise due to potential oil leaks, which could lead to engine complications if not addressed promptly.

📋Why This Matters
The integrity of a vehicle's engine and cooling system is paramount, especially when considering the safety of all passengers, including children often seated in the back. An oil leak from the turbocharger could potentially escalate into more serious engine problems, leading to stalling or even fire hazards. Given the premium positioning of the Genesis brand, any defect in this category can severely undermine confidence in its engineering prowess and overall safety profile.

STEERING,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Driving on interstate at 70mph while it was raining. Signaled and changed lanes. Steering wheel started jerking left and right and the power steering light flickered on and off. The steering wheel stopped jerking and the power steering light remained on. I no longer had power steering and car was difficult to control. The emergency braking assist light came on as well. Was able to get off the interstate. Turned the car off and on. Power steering light remained on. Turned car off. Waited 5 minutes. Turned car on. Power steering light was off but the power steering still did not work. I slowly and carefully drove home, which was nearby. About 2 miles into the drive, power steering returned. It felt like it partially returned at first and then fully returned after several minutes.

The vehicle started smoking and stalled out Aug 18,2023. The vehicle starting shaking then I parked it for about two (2) hours. When I tried to crank vehicle again it wouldn’t crank. I attempted to complete diagnostic test but the vehicle wouldn’t remain on. I contacted dealership I purchased it from. They order a tow to be brought in. The dealership repair shop for about 3 weeks didn’t know what happened. The change filters and oil change but it still was stalling.

TIRES
This is not about a tire failure but rather dangerous mis sizing of tires from factory.I bought the car new. It was never in an accident or had a flat tire and did not have service call until this week at 13000 or so miles.the service included tire rotation and balance, but the service man called and said he wasn’t going to do it because the driver rear tire was the wrong size!!!! It was supposed to be 275/40 R19 101W but was 245/45R19 98W. The two front tires are 245’s as they should be but BOTH rears are supposed to be the 275’s! Clearly this affects handling, wear, stability etc. I’m a very careful driver but someone less careful could roll over on a fast corner turn! How many more Hyundai/ Genesis tires are mis sized? No one checks that when you buy a car!
