2023 BMW i7

Recalls, Specs & Safety Report

Expert Verdict
⚠️Elevated Concerns

The 2023 BMW i7 exhibits multiple concerns related to its electrical system, air bags, and seating mechanisms. Given the peak failure range of 0-20k miles, these issues should be taken seriously by current owners and potential buyers.

Key Factor:Significant safety risks

📋Why This Matters

The presence of recalls for the electrical system raises issues that could impair the vehicle's ability to communicate location information in emergencies, a critical feature for passenger safety. Moreover, the airbag malfunction due to seat monitoring failures poses a significant risk, especially for young passengers in the back seat who rely on proper functioning restraints during an accident. These vulnerabilities are particularly alarming as they could lead to severe consequences in an emergency situation.

Focus Area:Safety Profile
📊

Expert Analysis

The year-over-year safety profile for BMW has generally been strong, yet the noticeable recalls affecting fundamental systems like airbags and electrical functions in the i7 indicate a shift towards increased risk. This model's defects may put passengers' safety at stake, which is not what one expects from a luxury brand known for its engineering excellence.
