Recalls, Specs & Safety Report

Expert Verdict
⚠️Elevated Concerns

The 2024 Lexus ES exhibits a respectable reliability profile but is marred by notable recalls related to its back over prevention system. The peak failure range indicates potential issues early in ownership, making it essential for buyers to stay informed about software updates and recalls.

Key Factor:Back over prevention concerns

📋Why This Matters

For a luxury sedan like the 2024 Lexus ES, engineering excellence is non-negotiable. The presence of two recalls focused on the back over prevention display function signifies a lapse that could compromise safety, particularly in urban driving scenarios where rear visibility is crucial. Affected vehicles may not promptly show the rearview camera image, impacting driver awareness while reversing, which can lead to accidents and liabilities if not addressed promptly.
