Summary

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2020 Jaguar F-Type vehicles. The diagnostic check for the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) that runs at vehicle startup may not complete in the time required, which could disable the ABS and the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system during that drive cycle.

Consequence

A disabled ABS or DSC system could increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall began April 12, 2021. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H335.

Summary

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2019-2020 F-Type vehicles equipped with 18-inch rear wheels. The tire placard label on the driver's side door opening states an incorrect size for the rear tires. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims for Passenger Cars."

Consequence

An incorrect tire placard label may mislead the vehicle owner to install the wrong tire size, potentially affecting vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tire placard label with a label that states the correct rear tire size, free of charge. The recall began October 23, 2019. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H256.

Additional Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

STEERING

Unexpectedly, The power steering went out on my 2020 Jaguar F-Type while driving. The power steering assistance reduced light came on in my dashboard. I'm being told by Hennessy Jaguar in Atlanta that even though my car has a little over 30k miles VIN # [XXX] , it's going to need a new Power Steering Rack. The cost for this repair is going to be over 6k. This is not acceptable, and this repair or replacement should not be necessary so soon as the life expectancy is much longer than 5 years.Β  I am reaching out for help since being unsuccesful for Jaguar to cover this repair even though it is past the warranty period. POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

What component or system failed, and is it available for inspection upon request? The following component failures occurred in my 2020 Jaguar F-PACE (VIN [XXX] ): Electrical System – Driver-side wiring harness short circuits near the footwell, disabling door locks/window controls. Cooling System – Bleed pipe and expansion tank coolant leaks triggering low-fluid warnings. Battery System – Energy control module failure causing recurrent low-battery alerts. Braking System – Front/rear linings worn to 3mm/2mm, below SAE J866 safety thresholds. The vehicle remains available for NHTSA inspection at your request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Electrical: Exposed wiring poses fire hazards (violating FMVSS 305), while inoperative door controls risk occupant entrapment (FMVSS 208). Brakes: Worn linings impair stopping distances (FMVSS 135), increasing collision risks. Cooling: Repeated coolant loss risks sudden engine overheating and highway breakdowns. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Jaguar-certified technicians at authorized dealerships confirmed the electrical, cooling, and battery failures during repairs in October-November 2024. The brake wear was documented but deemed "within tolerance" despite sub-spec measurements. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? Only Jaguar’s manufacturer-authorized dealers inspected the vehicle. No police, insurance, or third-party assessments occurred. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, the issues were preceded by multiple warning messages, including "low battery charge" warnings related to the electrical system, a low coolant warning due to the cooling system failure, and an SOS system limited notification.
