I received a recall notice in the mail. as instructed, I called my local dealer and they said they would order the parts. A few hours later, they called me back and said that Honda was not providing parts for any bike that has been registered. They could order the arts for any bike in their showroom, but not for a customers unit. If this is truly a safety issue, I do not understand how bikes sitting in a showroom are more dangerous than those being ridden every day. If they have the parts, why are they unwilling to provide them? I reached out to Honda Powersports on Monday of this week but have not received an answer. I also requested a callback on the NHTSA help line on Monday with no response. This does not seem right

ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Iโ€™m filing a complaint regarding a serious safety recall on my 2025 Honda ADV160 (Recall #25V195), which involves a defective oil pump driven gear. This recall can lead to engine seizure and cause the rear wheel to lock, risking crash or injury. Iโ€™ve called multiple dealerships to get this resolved, but Iโ€™ve been told either the recall doesnโ€™t exist or that I need to โ€œwait for a letter in the mailโ€ and that no parts are available. In the meantime, Iโ€™m forced to continue riding this vehicle, which is my daily transportation. This is unacceptable for a known safety issue. Iโ€™m concerned about the lack of urgency from Honda, the risk of being injured, and the fact that I am unable to safely operate a brand-new motorcycle I just purchased. I want this issue escalated please, and Iโ€™m seeking a solution as soon as possible. I am also considering filing under California lemon law if this continues to go unresolved.
