2024 BMW 740i

Recalls, Specs & Safety Report

Expert Verdict
⚠️Elevated Concerns

The 2024 BMW 740i exhibits some reliability concerns due to multiple recalls affecting critical systems like electronic stability control and electrical components. Given the TSBs and a peak failure range of 0-20k miles, early detection and resolution of issues will be vital for owners.

Key Factor:Electrical and stability recalls

πŸ“‹Why This Matters

The presence of four recalls on a luxury sedan like the BMW 740i is notable. These recalls pertain to essential safety systems, including electronic stability control and the electrical system, which could pose serious risks such as loss of power brake assist or malfunctioning driver monitoring systems. For a vehicle in this class, where performance and safety are paramount, having these issues can undermine confidence in its engineering integrity. A clean complaint record is a positive sign, but the recalls indicate potential headaches for current owners. Clients expecting flawless reliability may find themselves annoyed by frequent visits to the dealership for repairs that could have been avoided with better initial manufacturing processes.
